I'm sorry.

But why is the contestant who sang Wannabe still on Singapore Idol(SI)?

I mean i know its British songs, but why must she pick Wannabe from Spice Girls of all songs?

When i heard about this week's theme, songs by british artists last week, i'd thought i'd heard songs by Robbie William (Bingo! 2 songs frm robbie), or Elton John or the Beetles or Take That or Suede or Wet Wet Wet or Oasis. Spice Girls came to my mind last week, but i doubt nobody would choose any songs especially Wannabe sing in SI. And i didn't know George Micheal is British. (heh, now i know.)

And Jasmin Tye just had to pick that song!

After her performance ended, i saw one lady in the audience shaking her head as if saying, "Oh no, Jasmin, that was realllyyyyyyy bad." I was like that too. i was stunned. I thought that was gonna be her last performance. Ok, to be fair, Jay's performance that night put him in a vulnerable state. He was bad, but not as bad as Jasmin. (sorry Jasmin and Jasmin's fans)

And what happened?
The best ones were in the bottom 4 (read Hady n Jonathan)

Well, perhaps, after getting good comments from the judges, audiences in Singapore believed that they will definitely get the votes from people and decided not to vote for them and vote for those who might not get the votes instead. Having them in the Bottom 4 was exactly what happen if these happens. People will assume that Hady and Jon will get the votes, and worried that the not so good ones will be in a vulnerable position, they'll vote for them instead.
I remember this happening in Australian Idol where one of the best contestants got voted out even though her performance was excellent.

I think it happened in American Idol too.

So, it happened in most Idol shows?

I dunno.

So, Jay's out. He was bad. the song Supreme just didn't click with him. He looked odd singing that song. I mentioned, he looked odd, he didn't sound odd. But overall, he was just odd. Just that night.
