Yup...
Heard that song before?
By...*can't remember who*
One of the lines goes:"Something's just gotta wrong when u're feeling way too damn good"
It was a beautiful day.
The sun hides occasionally behind the clouds.
Cool windy breeze.
We got free tasting come chocolates at the Chocolte Factory at Swan Valley.
(Its situated nearly 460km frm where i stay)
We saw beautiful animals at Caversham Wild Life Park, Erni fed the kangaroos, had a real 26kg wombat s on her lap, feel the fur of the koalas. [Whereas, i, on the pther hand fed the kangaroo by sitting far far away frm it, (in the end it didn't come to me coz i was too far away) sat next to the keeper who had the wombat on his lap and just admire the koala's fur]
Met up with a cute guy called Shawn who wanted to buy Erni's rice cooker (which she put an ad up for it in Quokka.)
Then.
While driving up the hill along Victoria Avenue, while waiting for the lights turn green, we heard a sound.
Crash.
Start the car. What happened? I dunno.
What do we do now?
Try accelerate, move forward, baby Char wouldn't move, but it rolled backwards instead.
Did we hit the car behind us? Or did the car behind us hit us? Or did we hit the car in front of us?
I went out to check for any broken glasses. None. Smoke started coming out from the gearbox. Gasp!
We're holding up the traffic coz we're right in the middle of the lane.
Peak hour at 5 was of no help at all!
Confused, PANICK, and didn't know what to do.
One passer by said, put on ur hazard lights.
Another guy said, roll ur car over to the side. We said, it wouldn't move forward. He said, but it can roll backwards? We said, yes. He said, do u want me to help u move the car to the side?I said, yes, that would be great, please. And he moved Baby char to the side, at the entrance of a church.
Called RAC and had to wait for nearly 2 hours. 3 calls later, after confirming my licence plate number and the place, finally the guy came. He was told to look out for a white Commodore(?) instead of a Charade. He was kind enough to say it wasn't our fault, in fact apologised for making us waiting for too long.
Arranged for a tow truck which came half an hour later.
Up in the tow truck to the workshop which was already closed, but they open it up so that there's a place for Baby Char to rest for the night.
Faizal came and fetched us frm the city and drove us back home.
Even though it was not a pleasant thing to happen, we were really grateful for the kind starngers that helped us along the way.
I was grateful that i wasn't alone when the incident happen.
I was grateful that there is such thing as a 24 hour RAC, although i have to pay an upfront fee of $168 coz i was not a member for roadside assistance.
I was grateful that both me and Erni were okay (apart frm the shock that we got)
We were grateful that we didn't meet any nasty people.
We were just grateful it was not an accident. We didn;t hit any cars, and no cars hit us.
Alhamdulillah.
