I always believe that things happen for a reason.

Just today alone, lots of things happened to each one of the four of us.

Lets see how today goes...

Today, Nadya and Hyder, children of housemates' friends stayed at our place from 8-3pm.
So, the house was filled with sounds from Finding Nemo to Madagascar to Lilo and Stitch to Shrek to Teletubbies to Barney...



Then, i had project meeting at 3, after which i thought of going straight to Erni's before going to Perth Royal Show (PRS). I decided to top up my fuel, and after topping up i decided to go to the bank to withdraw some money for PRS. Thats where something happened to me.

Upon reaching the bank, i stayed in Baby Char to return Sitti's missed call. After that i went out to the ATM, thinking while withdrawing money, i would return Erni's call. This is how my conversation with Erni went:

*Ring, Ring, and Erni answered the phone.*
Erni: Hello
Me: (*kept quiet for a while, then* ) Oh shit! Erni!
Erni: Ah, kenapa?
Me: I tertinggalkan my car keys in my car, and my car is locked and i couldn't get in!
Erni: Huh? Habis macam mana?
Me: Alamak, i tak tahu...takpe-takpe, i call sitti back...



Yes, people, i locked myslef out of my car! How dumb!
Luckily i have spare key at home and i know exactly where i put it, so i called home, and asked Ida's parents to look for my spare car key in my room, in a silver box in the third drawer of my desk. They found it easily, and Ida's dad sent the key over to me after fetching Nal back from work.
So, i waited for about 20 minutes in the not so cold but chilly weather coz my jacket and scarf were in the car.

LUCKY for me again, i had my handphone with me, and i didn' t leave it in my bag together with my other stuff in the car, coz i was previously takling to Sitti. I wouldn't want to imagine what i'd do if i didn't have my phone in my hand at that time. Ok, i lied, actually i imagined that if i had left my handphone in the car together with my bag and my car keys inside, I would have just walked back home leaving Baby Char on her own but i was smart enough not to do that coz i logically rationalise that someone could have just smashed the window and get into Baby Char and drove off. If i hadn't had my phone, i wouldn't know what to do coz i don't know any numbers to call. Alhamdulillah, i had the phone in my hand. Thank God for that!

I got my spare keys at 6 and opened the door and drove off to Erni's
(For the record, i lost my car keys when i was in my first year, first semester, first month in Perth but someone who has a kind heart had found it and gave it to the Guild and i was reconciled to my keys arounf 6 hours later. I never get to meet that person, If i knew who he/she was, i would have given her a treat(or offer him/her a free ride from her home to uni), but i could only just pray that Allah will bless his/her good deeds. I was LUCKY back then, Alhamdulillah. And because of this incident my then exhousemate advised me to get a spare key) Berguna jugak spare key tu, Alhamdulillah.

Iparked my car at Erni's, then off we went to PRS in Horie's car.



Erni got her show bag with the funky hat (think Willy Wonka's hat) with lots and lotsa sweets, Horie got her PowerPuff Girl and Freddo show bag with lots and lots o f chocolates (da boleh pergi Trick or Treat for Halloween la dorang ni..), and Sitti got her Spongebob Squarepants showbags. I didn't get any showbag. We had our beautiful fireworks moments and i had my first ever ferris wheel ride of my life. Then Erni had got something in her eye, some dust or some fireworks sparkle(maybe) in her eye, but its nothing serious... And THEN, she dropped her camera, which broke just a little, but can still be used, Alhamdulillah..That's Erni's incident.

After that, something happened to Sitti after we were overwhelmed ourselves by the fireworks. Right after the foreworks ended,she received a call from Singapore that her grandmother had passed away. Actually she had her tickets ready to go home tmrw on the 4 pm flight, coz her mother was sick (she was diagnosed with breast cancer and is going to go for an op this sunday), but upon receiving the news, she tried to get the earliest flight home at 1 am.
So went went straight home to Sitti's place to get her passport and bag, but before that went to the city to fetch Asyif.

And another thing happened.

Horie's car was stopped by the police because apparently the police said that she was driving in the bus lane! Come on, its close to ten and the road is not busy at all, and there's not even a bus in sight! The 2 policemen checked her bonnet and tyres and said that her tyres need to be changed,and that she shld not hang anything on her rear view mirror and all. In the end, she was fined $150 ($100 for driving in the bus lane, and $50 for the tyres) What the..!We were stopped close to 20 minutes! Nak check itulah, nak check inilah..sume nak check. Lucky me and Erni had our seatbelts on in the back seat, if not,that's another fault they gonna find, and we'll be fined!

Next we drove off to sitti's place to get her stuff and then straight to the airport. Alhamdulillah , she got into the 1 am flight. Horie and Asyif went back first since Horie is feeling all panicky and alarmed because of the police incident, (i undertsand fully how she felt, but i think hers was more alarming, coz, i, too, had been stopped by police coz my passengers had not had their seat belts on when actually they had it on, but had took it off coz i was trying to find another parking space. Police2 kat sini sume takde kerja, suka sgt stop kereta orang n cari pasal when actually takde pasal pun..)and the fine she got, while me and Erni stayed at the airport till Sitti went in to board. Then we took a cab to Erni's to get my car and then drove back home.

We really felt sorry for Sitti for the sad news about her late grandmother and her mother. All we can do is to just pray for her, and Al-Fateha to her grandmother.

That means, our first-road trip to Buburry is cancelled.
