My hormonal imbalance was very highly imbalanced today.
From extremely excited, to normal, to contented, to frustrated, to irritated, to depress, to sad, to excited again, to happy...
Can u believe it that i felt so very sad when my fruit jelly didn't turn out as much as i planned?
I was very excited to do it last night. However, realising that there's only one set of jelly mould, i search high and low from Coles to Woolies to Target to find none. After 2 hours, in Carousel, i went to Bentley Plaza in the little Asian store, and there they were. Jelly moulds! Excited, i bought 4 sets.
Irritated coz when i reached home coz the aunty selling fish didn't cut the red snapper into half as requested, so i have to struggle and cut its body into 2, using 3 different knives and one scissor.
Frustrated when my first jelly packet didn't dissolve properly and had to another one. Irritated coz i could only prepare a total of 13 jelly moulds. Went to Supa Valu to see of there's any packets that i could buy so that i can make it at Sitti's, but there were none. So, i just brought 13 pathetic fruit jelly telling Sitti, to just keep it chilled and we'll eat them, just the 4 of us. The total number of guest at her place were 10. And i have made only 13 fruit jellies. I was so sad. So depressed. Coz i really wanted my fruit jelly to be part of the deserts among all other food. I was so sad that i cried. Iwas so sad that Sitti had to tell me not to be sad and to put away my sad face.
Iftar at Sitti's place went well.
I was suppose to come early to help her since Horie was working and was back only at 5.
I reached close to 5. Passed her all the stuff like paper plates, disposable table cloth, paper cups, eggs, and many more. Helped her with roti john, and arranging cakes. Previous night i helped her with cutting onions and preparing diced beef, blending of chillis and onions and re-arranging the furniture in the house and putting on the lampu lap-lip lights..hehe
Then off to fetch Diana.
During breaking fast, only half of the people were there. Most of them were on the way and arived while we were halfway through breaking fast. First guests to arrive, Malini and Ariana, followed by Diana, (Curtin) thenUWA's Fauzan and Erni and finally SQ pilots-to-be Zeidi and Alfian.
Breaking fast was followed by prayers individually (due to time and toilet/bathroom constraint), followed by a congregation of Isya' prayers lead by Zeidi.
Feels just like home when my family would gather together at one of our relatives house to break fast and then perform prayers together.
Even though the group for today's Iftar was small, it was one attended by closed friends.
Today's Iftar was a success, Alhamdulillah
