We spent our Friday and Saturday together baking kuihs. It was fun, yet tiring. Well, i don't normally bake in Sg, apart from helping out my mum in the kitchen, so this time, baking was my first time. I can't believe that i can bake!! hehe

What did i bake? Snowballs, and Chocolate Cornflake Macaroon (or Snow White, according to Sitti) Thanks to a blogger, Rieta Darastita, i got the recipe for the latter kuih from her blog. I got so excited that i decided to try it out. It was the exact same kuih that my aunt used to make, but no longer makes them now. And i am happy that i found the recipe and tried it out. Wheee!! Snowball was something like suji, but without the sugar as the main ingredient. We used icing sugar and sieve it over the kuih once its baked and cooled.Ida's mum made them while she was here, but there's only one container left which was to be served to guests (if any) . Since i like that kuih, and its easy to make, i decided to make it. But mine turned out to be too big! Giant snowballs!

Erni made her Truffles and Cornflake kuih and a chocolate chip cookie which she made the day before. All were yummy! Sungguh sedap!

Sitti made dried tomato and herbs muffin as one of the dishes for breaking fast. While i prepared bread pudding, then Horie made fried mee hoon with mushrooms and by the end of the day i was just so tired. Tired but satisfying!
We stayed over at Sitti's and i started to bake the Snow White kuih the following morning with the help of Erni. Thanks ya Rieta for sharing the recipe!! i'm so happy!!!

As for today, we had Pineapple rice with tom yum and kangkong belachan and sweet and sour fish and fruit jelly for breaking fast. Like so extravagant! complete with desert all.

Done with baking, next on agenda, to meet on the eve of raya and cook Hari Raya dishes!!
