Ok..they came back already. I apologised to Nal abt the chair, and he just said “hmmm”, no facial expression. Well, at least I went up to him to say that I’m sorry. Now i;m thinking of buying a tv which i can put in my own room so that i won't forget to place the plastic cover again... I can buy sitti;s tv, just hafta ask her if she wanna sell it coz the new apartment that she's living in comes with a tv as well, so she has 2 tvs in her apartmnent...

Helped out Ida with the fried noodles. It was yummy.. Now they were waiting for I don’t know what. Nal had finished wrapping the Hyder’s birthday present. I don’t know what they gave him, it was huge. A truck, I think. Nal asked if I want to share the cost, and I politely said no. No birthday present from me to Hyder. Bad enough that I don’t want to attend his party, now, I refused to chip in to share the gift. Bad girl me!!

I just refused to go because, I don’t want to go. I really don’t wanna go. Don’t wanna go means I don’t wanna go… Full stop.

A few months ago, Su, Hyder’s mum handed down some of her baby stuff (Nadia’s (Hyder’s elder sister) and Hyder’s) to Ida. Stuff like cot cover, mattress for cot, clothes, bibs, toys, toys and more toys, bottles (botol susu). Since they came with lotsa stuff, big huge plastic bags of stuff, I felt excited for housemates. Wow! So many baby stuff from Su! As I looked through the stuff, one of the toys caught my attention. Hey, that toy looked familiar. It’s a turtle shaped book, an interactive book, the kind that I loved to buy for kids cause it helps to boost their brain power. Induces the 3 senses like sight, with their colourful colours and mirror, hearing, there’re rattling and scrunching sounds, and touch, the book used different material for different pages, See, when the mother read the book to their kids, she can used all those stuff to help the child to use their senses (except smell and taste of course.) I really like those books because it help the child to learn as well from a young age.

Then it occurred to me. That turtle book was the exact same present that i bought for Hyder for his birthday last year. I remember. Of course i remembered. Coz it was my gift to him.

I don't blame Su for handing over the toys to ida, she didn't know it was frm me. But, knowing that u already gave someone a present, and they the present bounced back to the place u live in currently, to be given to someone else, less than a year after the birthday, do u know what i'm saying? Its a whole different story if that turtle book was given to someone else, coz i wouldn;t know that it would be given away anyway. But this one, it just hurts. It give me the impression that the gift was of no value to them...it was a useless gift...

You see, i like buying gifts. Whether its for a birthday or wedding, or house warming, or newborn etc. When i buy, i put lots of thoughts on the recipient. I chose a present passionately hoping that the recipient might like it. I give gifts because i believe it will help to brighten someone's day, enlightened someone's mood, whether there's any occasion or not. Gifts just put a smile on someone's face coz it shows that the giver is thinking of the recipient. When i buy gifts, i give because i want to, not because i have to. I give sincerely and expect nothing in return (well, at least a little thank you is usually more than enough).

Well, thats one of the teeny tiny weeny part of the reason why i didnt want to go to Hyder's party. I know i sound selfish and childish and crazy. But i just don;t want them to have any yet useless gift for their son. I'm not saying they're like that, Su and family are nice people, really, but i dun want to give any useless gift... again.

Actually i had to retyped the previous 3 n a half paragraphs because what i have typed just now was gone. About 3 paragraphs gone...I think i'll just stop here. I had said and typed what i wanted to, but u just didn;t get the chance to read it. Dun worry its nothing nasty. You wont miss much.
