I 'm down with cough and flu.
The funny thing is, i was down with a very bad sore throat on eve of Hari raya itself. Which means, i got sick before Hari Raya. I got sick before i start any house visitings. I got sick before i ate my first kuih or drink my first 'air oren' at relatives house.
Hari Raya.
Guess what i did?
I cooked la!
Coz my mum was in a hurry to go for Aidilfitri prayers that morning, and she had not started with the preparation for Lemak Lodeh. I planned to follow her to the mosque for Aidilfitri prayers, but then, i asked her if she wanted me to cook instead. And she said, ok.
Its not my first time cooking lemak lodeh, coz the first time i cooked that dish was during Eid last year. Twice. Which serves at most about less than 30 people or so.
But, this is different coz its the first time i cooked for a big occasion at home. First time i cooked using a gigantic big pot for the family. Last time, i was just doing the cutting of veges, and a bit of stirring here and there. This time, it was cutting, frying, adding the ingredients, the seasoning, and making sure that it looked alright. Well, i still feel my lodeh looked different from the way i cooked last year. And of course it definitely looked different from my mum's. But oh, well, from Big pot, it was transferred to a medium pot and then to a small pot before finally it was finally transferred to a bowl. *hmm..pandai jugak aku masak eh?*
Then comes the part where mum informed, "Hari ni aku tak sempat nak masak. Adik yg masak."
Tak sia-sia my parents hantar i belajar pergi luar negeri. Balik, pandai masak kuah lodeh untuk hidangan hari raya. *lol* <disclaimer: butt hen again, org lain tak pergi luar negeri pun masih pandai msak leamk lodeh..hehe>
Gathering with relatives and family members, where the 'kakak cantik joke will always be heard.'
And an aunt mentioned about a proposal, which made me go, "Whattttt???!!!"
But good thing she mentioned when mum's not around. She's gonna burst out laughing non-stop when she ehard that.
It tickled me when when my aunt told me about my ex-housemate's mum telling her about me. And my ex-housemate suggest her mum to pair me up with her brother.And her mum told my aunt "Si linda tu.. yada-yada-yada (insert what u think fit here i'm not telling what i heard.)" And my aunt said, "Kalau da berkenan tu, pergilah masuk meminang..."
Amboi! Amboi!!
Oh Tidak!!! Tolong! Jangan!
